1st Recipient – Diamond Hall (2022)

  • College: UNC-Greensboro
  • Program: Nursing Program (BSN)
  • About: As the first recipient of the Edna Glaspie Carroll Scholarship, Diamond Hall was a junior at UNC-Greensboro when awarded. Her passion for nursing and dedication to her studies have since led her to graduate and begin a successful career in healthcare, where she continues to serve her community with compassion and professionalism.

2nd Recipient – Nia Hill (2023)

  • College: James Sprunt Community College
  • Program: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • About: Nia Hill was in her second year of the nursing program at James Sprunt Community College when she received the scholarship. Her commitment to nursing and community service stood out during the selection process. Since graduating, Nia has continued her journey in healthcare, working to provide quality care and positively impacting her community.

3rd Recipient – Aretta Williams (2024)

  • College: Cape Fear Community College
  • Program: Nursing Program (ADN)
  • About: Aretta Williams is the latest recipient of the scholarship in 2024. A devoted nursing student and mother, Aretta balances her studies with her family responsibilities. She has demonstrated remarkable dedication to the field of nursing and embodies the spirit of the Edna Glaspie Carroll Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
